A
NEW Minibus for Kids' Camp!
- sept 07
Derby Kids' Camp this summer became
the very lucky recipient of a new minibus thanks to one of our volunteers!
Summer Camp volunteer and founder of Ripples Educational
Trust - Peter Ellse - has sponsored the much-needed vehicle for
DKC, which replaces our long suffering, 'more mature' minibus which
has now been 'retired'!!
Chairman Chris
Edwards (left), pictured handing over the keys to equipment officer
Nick Thomas, said: "It's so nice that one of our volunteers
has done this. We'd like to place on record our sincere thanks to
Peter for his enormous support, helping to ensure continuing free
holidays for some of Derby's most deserving children."
Peter Ellse
said: "From childhood, what remains when you're older are the
big memories such as holidays. I've never seen a child who doesn't
look as though they're having the time of their lives.
"The enormous level of hard work, energy and fun put in by
both committee behind the scenes and the merry band of volunteers
is truly impressive. For that reason we have identified Derby Kids'
Camp as a good home for the funding of their new minibus."
Huge thanks to Peter - the new minibus is fantastic - it looks great
and has gears, brakes and everything!!
The new DKC 17-seat minibus has now also been made available at
a significantly reduced rate for other charities, schools and social
support organisations. Please contact Michelle Parrish on
